What is chronic pain?

Pain is an individual experience. It can't be seen or measured and is as unique as a fingerprint.

Acute pain, such as from a broken bone or recovey from surgery, is usually short-term and typically has no lasting effect.

Chronic pain continues for an extended period of time and may affect work, relationships and self-esteem.

Who comes to HealthEast Pain Care?

We help people who live with chronic pain from a variety of causes and offer treatment for conditions like:

  • Back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Myofascial pain syndrome
  • Headaches
  • Neuropathies, including causalgia
  • Reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD)
  • Postherpetic neuralgia
  • Cancer pain

You must be referred to Pain Care by your primary care doctor or a specialist.

Being a patient means relief

At HealthEast Pain Care, you will be treated by a team of professionals with advanced training in pain management. Our doctors practice current pain management therapies and regularly attend classes and seminars in new techniques. Our doctors are spinal interventionalists and are board certified. Our providers also include a clinical psychologist who specializes in pain care and advanced practice nurses.

Treatments

After an initial assessment and physical exam, we'll design a program specifically for you. Procedures are performed on an outpatient basis, allowing you to keep a regular daily routine.
